For Memorial Day we took an impromptu trip to Orange County. All of you know I adore living in Arizona, but I also dream of living (or spending a lot of time) in OC! I mentioned it to Rob and within an hour I had an email confirmation in my inbox for the Newport Fairmont.So the next day we loaded up my sporty ride and off we went... in search of more sunshine, tan & toned bodies and the BEACH!! (I realize now why I miss the beach so much... growing up we always had a beach house and I truly love the water ~ and miss it!!)
You can tell from the pictures below that we had the best time. We spent most of our time in Newport (Balboa area) and also Laguna Beach. We ate a lot, but then I'm married to Rob!! We shopped at Fashion Island and ate at this great organic cafe twice... yum!!
Another great thing I noticed is that CA is a very dog friendly place... there were even dogs in Bloomingdale's! (I like it even more!!)
Until next year... (this has become our family tradition for Memorial Day weekend, ever since Dayton was 6 months old... FAMILY ROAD TRIP!!)
